This picnic area is part of Mt Coot-tha Forest and can be reached via Gap Creek Road. Parking is limited and is highly sought after on Saturday and Sunday mornings as this area is popular for mountain biking.
There are two wood fire barbecues, but you have to bring your own fire wood. Various picnic tables are provided as well as plenty of grassed areas in the shade to spread your picnic rug. This area is accessible for the disabled with bridges to get across the stream from the parking area to the picnic area. The two toilets are also adapted for the disabled.
There are a myriad of well marked trails to explore. Refer to the signposts and the map on the information board as there are multi-use trails(walking, cycling, horse riding) as well as walking or mountain biking only trails.
