This show is also known as the KABI Orchid show. The Kabi group consists of people interested in Australasian orchids and their hybrids. The word Kabi refers to indigenous people of the area prior to settlement.
The aim of the show is to educate people and to let them see the wide variety of colour, size and shape of the native orchids. I love orchids as they make stunning material for photographs. What really impressed me about this show though, was the fragrance of all these orchids together.
There were plenty of orchids for sale and heaps of expert advice to get you started. Entrance was $3 per person, kids under 12 free.
